Malabar Egg Cake/Mutta pola

Ingredients

Egg - 4 nos Sugar – as required maida (All purpose flour) -1 cup (small) Cardamom powder – 1 tspn Turmeric powder/yellow food color - 1 pinch Ghee / butter - 1/2 tbspn Salt - 1 pinch

Preparation

In a bowl, beat the egg on medium speed for 1-2 minute,Then add sugar and beat on high speed for 10 minutes, add cardamom powder , salt & turmeric and then add maida(purpose flour )and mix well without any lumps and keep aside.Now heat a deep bottom sauce pan over medium to low heat and grease the pan with ghee or butter now pour the egg mixture into the pan and Cover cook in very low flame for 30 minutes .check whether its done with toothpick.now change to a plate and grease pan again with ghee or butter and turn the cake upside down into this pan and cook for 5mnts .now both sides are done.switch off flame and let it cool .after cooling transfer to a plate and cut and enjoy with tea.
